Theodore Boutrous, Richard Doren, Daniel Kolkey and Debra Wong Yang Named to Daily Journal’s Top 100 List

The Daily Journal named Los Angeles partners Theodore Boutrous, Richard Doren and Debra Wong Yang and San Francisco partner Daniel Kolkey to its annual list of the Top 100 Lawyers in California. Profiles of Boutrous, Doren, Yang, and Kolkey were published on September 18, 2019.

Ted Boutrous is global Co-Chair of the firm’s Litigation Group. He has extensive experience handling high-profile litigation, media relations and media legal issues.  He routinely advises clients in planning how to respond, and in responding, to crises and other especially significant legal problems that attract the media spotlight.

Richard Doren has extensive experience in complex civil litigation across a variety of practice areas.  He has tried cases in state and federal courts around the country and has argued appeals in numerous appellate courts.  He also has extensive experience with class actions and mass actions.

Daniel Kolkey is chair of the firm’s California Appellate Law Practice Group. He has handled class and shareholder actions; construction, insurance, real estate, employment, and contract disputes; Proposition 65 litigation; unfair competition litigation; legal malpractice defense; California environmental law litigation; administrative law cases; and political law litigation, including ballot litigation, Voting Rights Act claims, and redistricting matters.

Debra Wong Yang is Chair of the Crisis Management Practice Group. She focuses part of her practice on strategic counseling.  She leads critical representations, both high-profile and highly confidential, involving a wide variety of industries, economic sectors, regulatory bodies, law enforcement agencies, global jurisdictions and all types of proceedings.
