Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher LLP is pleased to announce that the firm has elected 20 new partners, effective January 1, 2021.

The new partners are:
Lauren M. Blas (Class Actions / Los Angeles) – Blas focuses on complex litigation and class actions in the trial courts and on appeal. In 2012, she graduated from Yale Law School, where she served as managing editor of the Yale Journal on Regulation. She clerked for Judge Sandra S. Ikuta of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit.
Mehdi Eddebbarh (Real Estate / Orange County) – Eddebbarh focuses his real estate practice on joint ventures, acquisitions, sales, developments and financings involving a wide range of commercial real estate asset classes. He received his law degree from Harvard Law School in 2010. He clerked for Judge Philip M. Pro of the U.S. District Court for the District of Nevada.
Diana M. Feinstein (Litigation / Los Angeles) – Feinstein practices complex litigation, including securities litigation and high-value commercial litigation, as well as white collar defense and investigations. She graduated cum laude in 2007 from Georgetown Law, where she served as the notes editor of the Georgetown Journal of Law & Public Policy.
Andrew D. Friedman (Mergers and Acquisitions / Century City) – Friedman focuses on public and private mergers and acquisitions, as well as equity investments, joint ventures and strategic partnerships. He graduated cum laude in 2009 from Harvard Law School.
Kai Gesing (Competition and Antitrust, Privacy, Cybersecurity and Consumer Protection / Munich) – Gesing represents clients in a wide range of competition and antitrust matters including cartel investigations, antitrust litigation, and merger control, as well as in privacy, cybersecurity and technology matters. He graduated from Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich in 2003 and received his LL.M. from Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam in 2000.
Caeli A. Higney (Competition and Antitrust / San Francisco) – Higney handles a wide variety of antitrust matters, including private civil litigation, government enforcement investigations and litigation, and mergers and acquisitions. She earned her J.D. from Stanford Law School in 2009.
Andrew Kaplan (Mergers and Acquisitions / New York) – Kaplan represents both public and private acquirors and targets in connection with mergers, acquisitions and takeovers. He graduated magna cum laude in 2011 from Cornell Law School, where he was elected to the Order of the Coif.
Kathryn A. Kelly (Tax / New York) – Kelly’s practice focuses on a broad range of U.S. and international tax matters, including public and private mergers and acquisitions, cross-border transactions, restructuring, and financing transactions. In 2010, she received her J.D. from Columbia Law School, where she was a Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar and executive editor of the Columbia Journal of Tax Law. She clerked for Judge William B. Traxler, Jr. of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit.
Kari Krusmark (Strategic Sourcing and Commercial Transactions / Los Angeles) – Krusmark focuses her practice on a wide range of outsourcing and other commercial transactions, including information technology and business process outsourcing agreements; systems development and implementation agreements; agreements for cloud services; and other technology-related matters. She graduated in 2007 from New York University School of Law.
Sean McFarlane (Private Equity / New York) – McFarlane represents private equity funds, portfolio companies, media companies and sports teams and owners across a wide range of transactions, with a focus on mergers and acquisitions, media rights and complex commercial agreements. He received his law degree from Harvard Law School in 2010.
Eric S. Meer (Real Estate / New York) – Meer’s practice covers a range of commercial real estate transactions, with a focus on financing, joint venture and development transactions. In 2011, he graduated from Emory University School of Law, where he served as the executive symposium editor of the Emory Law Journal and was elected to the Order of the Coif.
Jason Myatt (Litigation, Judgment and Arbitral Award Enforcement / New York) – Myatt’s practice focuses on complex commercial and financial litigation and recognition and enforcement of international arbitration awards and judgments. He graduated cum laude in 2003 from the University of Wisconsin Law School, where he served as an articles editor for the Wisconsin Law Review and was elected to the Order of the Coif.
Michael S. Neumeister (Business Restructuring and Reorganization / Los Angeles) – Neumeister has experience representing debtors, lenders, and purchasers in all aspects of in-court and out-of-court restructuring matters. He received his J.D. in 2010 from the University of Southern California Gould School of Law, where he served as a senior content editor for the Southern California Law Review and was elected to the Order of the Coif.
Ashley Rogers (Privacy, Cybersecurity and Consumer Protection / Dallas) – Rogers’ practice focuses on a wide range of data privacy and consumer protection matters. She graduated in 2012 from Stanford Law School, where she served as a senior editor of the Stanford Law & Policy Review.
Lindsey D. Schmidt (International Arbitration / New York) – Schmidt focuses her practice on international commercial arbitration and investor-state arbitrations. She received her law degree in 2008 from Fordham University School of Law, where she was captain of the Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court team.
Molly T. Senger (Labor and Employment / Washington, D.C.) – Senger handles a wide range of employment litigation matters. In 2009, she graduated cum laude from Harvard Law School. She served as a law clerk to Senior Judge John D. Bates of the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia.
John Senior (Investment Funds / New York) – Senior’s practice focuses on fund formation across a variety of strategies and on strategic fund-related transactions. He earned his J.D. in 2012 from the New York University School of Law.
Oleh Vretsona (White Collar Defense and Investigations / Washington, D.C.) – Vretsona focuses on white collar criminal defense, internal investigations, regulatory inquiries, and corporate compliance. He graduated magna cum laude in 2006 from the University of Minnesota Law School, where he was elected to the Order of the Coif and served as an editor of the Law & Inequality: A Journal of Theory and Practice.
Oliver Welch (White Collar Defense and Investigations / Hong Kong) – Welch represents clients throughout the Asia Pacific region in connection with government enforcement actions and corporate internal investigations, including those involving anti-corruption, anti-money laundering, and trade control laws. Welch also regularly guides companies on creating, implementing and maintaining effective compliance programs. He graduated cum laude in 2009 from the University of Michigan Law School, where he was an executive editor of the Michigan Law Review.
Qi Yue (Corporate, Mergers and Acquisitions / Beijing) – Yue represents Chinese and foreign companies and private equity funds in mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, corporate finance and private equity transactions. He received his J.D. from Harvard Law School in 2010 and is fluent in Mandarin Chinese and English.
