Jonathan Homer is Of Counsel in the New York City office of Gibson Dunn & Crutcher. He represents both privately-held and publicly-traded companies as borrowers in various debt transactions, including unsecured transactions and complex secured transactions of all types. Mr. Homer’s primary practice is advising private equity firms during the leveraged buyout phase, but he also advises private equity investors and their portfolio companies during the life of a credit facility, including through refinancing and repricing transactions, corporate restructurings, secondary acquisitions, spin-offs, public equity offerings and other exit transactions. He works closely with his clients’ management teams through compliance and reporting obligations. Though Mr. Homer’s practice is focused primarily on representing borrowers and issuers, he spent a portion of his career advising underwriters in large syndicated debt transactions as well as direct lenders and so he is able to understand legal issues from both sides of the table.
Mr. Homer earned his law degree in 2009 from The George Washington University where he graduated with High Honors. He graduated Magna Cum Laude from Utah State University in 2005 with a bachelor of arts degree in history and economics.
Mr. Homer is admitted to practice in the State of New York.
