Helen Avunjian is a litigation associate in the Los Angeles office of Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher. Ms. Avunjian practices in the firm’s Labor and Employment and Litigation departments. Ms. Avunjian counsels clients on a wide variety of employment issues, and has defended clients facing individual and class actions. She has extensive experience litigating wage and hour class actions involving exemptions, meal and rest breaks, and employee reimbursements.
Ms. Avunjian received her Juris Doctor in 2014 from the UCLA School of Law. She also earned a Bachelor of Arts in History from UCLA in 2010, graduating magna cum laude. During law school, Ms. Avunjian served as a Writing Assistant for the first year Lawyering Skills program. She also served as an extern for the Honorable Sandra S. Ikuta of the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit.
Ms. Avunjian is admitted to practice law in the state of California.
