Kamola Kobildjanova is an associate in the Palo Alto office of Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher. She is a member of the firm’s Litigation department and practices in the firm’s Privacy, Cybersecurity, and Consumer Protection Practice Group.
She is a Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP/US) and regularly advises clients on privacy-related risks in product development and on compliance with various privacy laws and regulations, such as EU’s General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the California Consumer Privacy Act, the Video Privacy Protection Act, the Electronic Communications Privacy Act, and the Gramm–Leach–Bliley Act. She represents companies in privacy-related government and internal investigations has advised major technology and online retail companies with respect to their privacy policies and terms of service. She also counsels clients on data breach planning and risk assessment, including through cyber incident response or “tabletop” exercises, and has advised companies in the aftermath of large-scale data breach incidents.
Ms. Kobildjanova has also represented a range of clients, including major technology companies, in class action lawsuits and in criminal and civil government investigations.
Ms. Kobildjanova received her law degree from Harvard Law School in 2015, where she was a member of the Harvard Journal of Law & Technology and a Cravath International Fellowship recipient. Prior to law school, Ms. Kobildjanova was a Junior Fellow at the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace in Washington, DC. She graduated with honors from Cornell University in 2011, where she earned her Bachelor in Arts degree in Economics.
Ms. Kobildjanova is admitted to practice in the State of California.
