Shannon McDermott is an associate in Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher’s Washington, D.C. office and a member of the firm’s Labor and Employment Practice Group.

Prior to joining Gibson Dunn, Ms. McDermott served as a law clerk to the Honorable Judge Paul G. Byron, United States District Court for the Middle District of Florida.

Ms. McDermott received her law degree from Vanderbilt University School of Law where she graduated as a member of the Order of the Coif.  While in law school, she was Managing Editor of the Vanderbilt Law Review.  Ms. McDermott graduated Phi Beta Kappa from the University of Georgia with a Bachelor of Arts.
