Maria Monaghan is an associate in the Washington, D.C. office of Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher. She practices in the firm’s Litigation Department and is a member of the Appellate and Constitutional Law and Administrative Law and Regulatory Practice Groups.
Before joining the firm, Ms. Monaghan served as a law clerk to Justice Samuel A. Alito on the Supreme Court of the United States, Judge Ed Carnes on the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit, and Judge Amul R. Thapar on the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit.
Ms. Monaghan earned her law degree from the University of Virginia School of Law in 2017, where she served as an articles development editor for the Virginia Law Review. She graduated from Rutgers University in 2014 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Human Resources and Labor Studies.
Ms. Monaghan is a member of the Virginia and District of Columbia bars.
